1. Denison Downs Undefeated Scranton For First DIII Women’s Basketball Title

Trailing by a single point entering the final period, Denison outscored Scranton, 22-7, to hand the Royals their first loss of the season and register their first national championship by a 55-41 count.
Abby Cooch scored 11 of her team-high 18 points in the decisive fourth quarter for the Big Red (30-2). But it was the Denison “D” that was the key, as the Big Red held Scranton (32-1) to just 20.3 percent shooting from the floor.
2. Fly, Eagles, Fly

Eagles will dominate the DIII national championship game two weeks from now in Indianapolis, as Emory and Mary Washington advanced with semifinal victories.
» Emory 72, Christopher Newport 58. The Eagles (27-3) will make their first-ever appearance in the national final after dispatching the Captains (25-6). Ben Pearce led Emory with a game-high 21 points to go along with five assists. Toa Hollenbeck topped CNU with 16 | Recap
» Mary Washington 64, Trinity CT 61. The Eagles upended the defending national champion Bantams to reach the national final for the first time as well. UMW scored the game’s final 10 points to overcome a 61-54 deficit. Kye Robinson led the Eagles (29-3) with 21 points, while the UMW defense held Trinity (29-3) to just 33.3 percent shooting | Recap
3. Denison Men, NYU Women Claim National Swim Crowns


The Denison men and the NYU women walked away with the team hardware as the 2026 NCAA Division III men’s and women’s swimming and diving championships came to a close on Saturday.
It is back-to-back for the Big Red men who won the program’s seventh national title. Jack Hill and Nick Fogle were honored as the CSCAA Swimmer and Diver of the Year. Denison finished with 437 points, while NYU (388.5) and Chicago (353) followed.
The NYU women won their first-ever NCAA swimming crown in dominating fashion, registering 517 points - 83.5 points better than runnerup Emory. Kaley McIntyre, who won five national titles during the meet, was named the CSCAA Swimmer of the Year. | Results

4. Final Four Bound

The semifinals are set in the 2026 NCAA Division III men’s and women’s ice hockey championships.
Defending men’s champ Hobart continued its quest for a fourth consecutive DIII crown with a 2-1 win over St. Norbert, while the defending women’s champions from UW-River Falls kept their three-peat dream alive after taking down Williams, 1-0.
The men’s semifinals and final will be held in Utica, N.Y., while the women’s semis and title match will be played at River Falls, Wis.

The Hawks posted a 54-hole team total of 38-under-par - 10 shots better than runnerup No. 4 Washington and Lee. Sewanee’s Turner Chiles earned medalist honors with a 16-under par 200. And a tip o’ the cap to Babson’s Shane Quinn who aced the 182-yard sixth hole today | Results
» Golf (W). NYU bested Emory by four shots in the final round to record a four-stroke victory over the top-ranked Eagles at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational. The Violets posted a 54-hole team score of 34-over-par. Emory’s Amanda Zheng carded an even-par 72 for a three-day total of 216 to capture individual honors | Results
