“This report highlights the major events, award recipients, team champions and other notable achievements from the past academic year.

In 2022-23, Division III was composed of 439 total members. Of the 439 members, 433 were active and six were in the provisional/reclassifying process. Twenty percent of the membership were public institutions and eighty percent were private institutions.

Division III student-athletes:

  • 87% agreed that they were challenged academically in college, as compared to 83% of nonathletes.

  • 63% held a leadership position in a club or organization, as compared to 38% of nonathletes.
