"At its quarterly meeting Wednesday, the Division III Presidents Council reviewed several Association-wide issues, including the upcoming constitutional convention and recently released gender equity report.

The Presidents Council also looked at the potential proposals for the 2022 NCAA Convention, finalized the budget for 2021-24, and approved the strategic positioning platform document.

"Division III members will play an active role as the Association faces several key issues examining the landscape of college sports," said Fayneese Miller, chair of the Division III Presidents Council and president at Hamline. "We will continue to work within our governance structure and leadership to insert our division's representation around the constitution review, gender equity report and ongoing conversations surrounding name, image and likeness."

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released their final Academic All-America teams for 2020-21 - the At-Large Team.

Mason Nissley, a sophomore volleyball player from Messiah, and Mikayla Bisignani, a senior swimmer from Johns Hopkins, were named the Men's and Women's Team Members of the Year, respectively.

Nissley was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Player of the Year and an AVCA first-team All-American in 2021. He helped lead the Falcons to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) championship, a 17-3 record and an appearance in the NCAA Division III quarterfinals. Nissley set a Division III record for kills per set with 5.69 and finished the season with 370.

A three-time Academic All-America® first-team selection, Bisignani was a two-time All-American and a three-time national qualifier in swimming, and was named the 2019 NCAA Elite 90 Award winner. She was also a member of the Johns Hopkins outdoor track and field team, where she was a two-time Centennial Conference Champion in the discus and placed 13th in the event at the 2019 NCAA Championships.

The 15 members of the men’s at-large first team carry an average GPA of 3.92, while the 15 members of the women's first team combine for a 3.90 average GPA.
